VCP Exam Preparation Workshops
I've always been one of those people who just doesn't get phased by exams, I walk into the testing room with a "bring it on" attitude - challenging the exam to try and catch me out, rather than the exam challenging me!
As far as the VCP exams go, I'm in the privileged position of having worked intimately with ESX/VirtualCenter, then VI3, and now vSphere, for 3-4 years now - so achieving each of my 3 VCPs was just as it should have been - relatively straightforward.
I appreciate that most people who attempt the VCP exams are not instructors, they're people who don't get prep time or study time like I do, who work with VI3 and vSphere but aren't expected to recite facts and figures about them like I am.
I'm a big believer that an individual should "do themselves justice" when taking a certification exam, whether that means they have studies using the best resources or they have a good exam-taking technique.
Written by myself, the Global Knowledge VCP workshops give you the opportunity to spend a day with myself, or one of my colleagues, and go through a variety of activities designed to maximise your chances of getting your VCP as easily as possible!
VCP3 Exam Preparation Workshop (1 day) - VMEXP
VCP4 Exam Preparation Workshop (1 day) - VSEXP
On the day, we highlight all the key learning points from the exam blueprint, you get the chance to attempt practice questions which have been written to include all the same pitfalls and traps that the official exam questions do, we review the exam format, we pass on masses of study tips and exam-taking tips - and of course you can ask us anything you like about any of these things!
I recommend attending a workshop about 1 week before attempting the exam, for both VCP3 and VCP4, to highlight areas that need improvement or to provide additional focus as the "big day" gets close.
